Craig See

PhD, Researcher 6

Craig (he/him) is an ecosystem ecologist interested in how environmental factors (climate, soils, nutrients) affect the rate at which plants and microbes cycle carbon through ecosystems. He has worked in forest, grassland and tundra ecosystems on questions ranging in scale from individual soil particles to global syntheses. He is particularly interested in how mycorrhizal fungi impact ecosystem carbon balance via interactions with other soil microbes, and through their effects on the spatial distribution of soil nutrients. His work in the Sustainable Cropping Systems Lab focuses on the impacts of intercropping and perennial planting regimes on system resilience under climate change.
