Grace Doyle

PhD Student, Applied Plant Sciences Graduate Program

 

Grace (she/they) is a Ph.D student in the Agronomy and Agroecology track of the Applied Plant Sciences Program at the University of Minnesota. Their research primarily focuses on factors influencing the establishment of four fall seeded crops; intermediate wheatgrass, silphium, winter pea, and winter barley. They are interested in how seedbed preparation, seeding date, and environmental factors impact seed germination, winter survival, and yield of these four crops. Grace is passionate about finding sustainable agricultural solutions that are beneficial for farmers. Outside of school, Grace loves to cook good food and make things out of wood.
