Gurparteet Singh

Gurparteet (he/him) is a Ph.D. Candidate co-advised by Dr. Jessica Gutknecht in the Department of Soil, Water and Climate. Gurparteet focuses on optimizing nitrogen fertilizer inputs for intermediate wheatgrass with respect to water quality impacts, specifically, nitrate leaching. He is working on simulating subsurface drainage from intermediate wheatgrass and business as usual cropping systems in the US Midwest. Gurparteet studied irrigation management and worked with soil moisture sensors during his masters program. Outside of school, Gurparteet enjoys singing and writing poems.
